Wonderful World Friends of Music Therapy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing vital financial and community support to The Louis Armstrong Center for Music & Medicine (LACMM) at the Mount Sinai Health System. For over 30 years, LACMM has operated as a premier clinical music therapy practice, delivering rigorous, evidence-based interventions in inpatient and outpatient settings. Through targeted individual and group sessions, the center addresses complex medical, developmental, and psychological needs for diverse populations—ranging from premature infants and pediatric patients to adults managing chronic illnesses, neurological conditions, mental health crises, and specialized occupational ailments unique to working musicians.

Proceeds from general donations and our annual Wonderful World Gala directly sustain and expand LACMM's core mission. By funding these specialized clinical services, we ensure the continuation of vital patient care while actively investing in advanced clinical research and professional education, a multifaceted approach that strengthens the standard of care and drives the continuous evolution of the music therapy profession.
