Rosemarie Greene

Rosemarie Gambale Greene is a retired NYS licensed clinical social worker, with specialties in oncology and geriatrics social worker. During her 20-year social work career, Mrs. Greene worked for Cancer Care (Oncology Social Worker), at Hospice Care network as a Bereavement Coordinator, and a founder and Director of the St. Vincent’s Hospital Family Caregiver Center (Geriatrics Social Work), and in private practice. Her work focused on people living with illness (AIDS, cancer, heart disease) and with their loved ones, affected by the illness (the Shadow Patient) and bereavement. She has spoken at numerous professional conferences on these subjects.

Mrs. Greene’s career in Social Work began after a successful twenty-year career (1970-1990) in Advertising where she rose to the rank of Vice President of Market Research. Coping with her own health issues led Ms. Greene to make a life change into health counseling, eventually earning an MSW from the NYU School of Social Work. Mrs. Greene has served on the Board of Directors of the Caring Community, Bailey House, and Housing Works.
