Inaugural Sheila Jordan
Trailblazer Award

Tracey J. Jordan
Music Industry Luminary, Board of Governors, Recording Academy
Tracey J. Jordan is a native New Yorker whose life has been shaped by music from the very beginning. As the daughter of jazz legend Sheila Jordan, a pioneering vocalist whose influence helped define the sound of modern jazz, Tracey grew up surrounded by artistry, authenticity, and a deep respect for the craft. That background has guided every chapter of her career.
She serves on the Board of Governors for the New York Chapter of the Recording Academy (the Grammys) and sits on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominating committee. In 2019, she was honored at the T.J. Martell Foundation's Women of Influence Gala, recognizing her leadership and impact across the industry.
Tracey's career began at Arista Records under the mentorship of Clive Davis, before going on to hold senior roles at Motown, MTV, and Sirius XM. Along the way, she worked with a wide range of artists, including Whitney Houston, The Rolling Stones, H.E.R., Andra Day, and Bad Bunny. She is currently a producer at De Passe Jones Entertainment, where she develops content across television, film, theater, and new media.
The inaugural Trailblazer Award, named in honor of her mother jazz legend Sheila Jordan, finds a worthy first recipient in Tracey J. Jordan.
